Sustainability Claims and Reporting Statement

This statement is published by Vencilla Medtex LLP for its Vencilla Group website. It covers what we say about sustainability in relation to our textile and pharmaceutical operations.

Sustainability is central to how we want to do business: care for nature and biodiversity, animal welfare, and responsible sourcing. Because it matters, we want to be precise about it. Everything we say about sustainability falls into one of five categories, and we label it accordingly.

1. Current documented actions. Practices already in place today, with someone responsible for them and a document or record that shows them, which we can share on request. At present we have not published any; they will be added only when they meet this standard.
2. Practices being evaluated. Ideas we are actively assessing for our textile or pharmaceutical operations. These are not yet practice, and we do not describe them as if they were.
3. Planned initiatives. Steps we have decided to take, with what will happen and, where we can, when.
4. Future ambitions. The direction we want to take, for example letting care for nature, biodiversity and animal welfare shape sourcing decisions. Ambitions are not achievements; we present them as aims, never as results.
5. Measured outcomes. Results we can support with evidence, stating what was measured, over what period, how, and with what scope and limitations.

Our commitments in what we publish

• We do not use general labels such as “green”, “eco-friendly”, “sustainable” or “natural” for a product, a process or the business without specific, verifiable information and an accurate qualifier.
• We do not claim certifications, recycled or organic content, carbon reductions, carbon neutrality, supplier audits, animal-welfare schemes or targets unless they are documented, current and accurately scoped.
• Where a claim depends on a supplier or manufacturing partner, we say so and identify the source of the information.
• We do not present favourable information selectively in a way that hides relevant unfavourable information.
• We update or withdraw statements that are no longer accurate, and we date our sustainability information.
