Vencilla Group

Sustainability

Trade that respects the world we share.

Vencilla Group stands for business that protects nature, upholds human dignity and treats animals with compassion. These principles guide how our textile and pharmaceutical divisions choose partners, specify products and plan every shipment.

Our values

What we stand for

Values

Nature is not a backdrop to business. It is the world our business depends on.

These principles shape the decisions behind every product our textile and pharmaceutical divisions source and trade: which partners we work with, what we ask about materials, and how products are specified, packed and shipped.

Nature and water

Every fibre and every medicine begins with the natural world: soil, forests, water and the biodiversity that sustains them. We believe trade should protect these foundations, not draw them down.

Human dignity and freedom

We believe in the equal dignity of every person: freedom of expression, human rights, equality and fair opportunity. These values draw inspiration from India’s democratic heritage, and we bring them to every working relationship.

Animal welfare

We believe animals deserve compassion and humane treatment, and should be free from avoidable harm wherever animal-derived materials are involved.

Community and opportunity

We believe a business owes something to the communities it is part of, starting with access to education and freedom from hunger.

Considerations by business

Where our decisions matter

Our influence lies in everyday trade decisions. These are the areas where each division’s choices count.

Vencilla Textile

  • Fibre and material choices, and where materials come from
  • Animal-derived fibres and trims, such as silk or wool, where a product uses them
  • Dyeing, printing and finishing, including water and chemical use
  • Packaging materials
  • Transport, and how shipments are planned
  • Fabric waste, offcuts and surplus stock

Vencilla Pharma

  • Manufacturing partners’ environmental management and permits
  • Ingredients and materials of animal origin, such as gelatin, where a product contains them
  • Animal studies required by regulators during development, and the standards partners follow
  • Packaging, pack sizes and storage or transport conditions
  • Handling of damaged, expired or rejected goods
  • Documentation requested by importing markets
Our commitments

How we work with buyers and partners

Commitment

These commitments guide every working relationship, whichever division you deal with.

We commit to

  • Ask our partners about environmental management, water use and animal-derived materials, and favour partners who share information and improve over time
  • Discuss lower-impact materials, processes and packaging with buyers wherever they meet the buyer’s requirements
  • Treat everyone we work with fairly and with respect, and expect the same of our partners
  • Tell buyers clearly what we can confirm for their product and market, and what we cannot
Where we intend to act

Our ambitions

Ambition

When an initiative begins, we will say so here. Results will be published once they are measured and evidenced.

Tree cover and habitats

Protect and expand tree cover, and support the protection of forests and habitats.

Water

Conserve water, including rainwater harvesting where our premises allow it.

Community

Support education and hunger relief in the communities we are part of.

How we report

We report only what we can show

Before an initiative is described as underway, someone in the business is responsible for it and a record shows it. Outcomes are published only when they are measured, with what was measured, over what period and how.

01

Establish a starting point

Record what is known today about the products we trade and the partners we work with.

02

Choose a few measures

For each business, a small number of measures that reflect real decisions, agreed before any target is set.

03

Check the evidence

Documents and certificates checked with the issuer where possible, and gaps recorded honestly.

04

Report only what is supported

Progress published here only when the evidence supports it.

Our Sustainability Claims and Reporting Statement sets out how we label and substantiate everything we say about sustainability.

Working together

How buyers and partners can contribute

Responsible decisions are easier when everyone shares what they know and what they need.

Buyers and importers

  • Material or fibre preferences, including any animal-derived materials to avoid
  • Certifications or documents your market or customers require
  • Packaging and shipping preferences

Suppliers and manufacturing partners

  • Documentation and certificates for products and processes
  • Information on materials, including any of animal origin
  • Improvements you are planning and how they will be shown
