Responsible trade at Vencilla: our values and how we report on them
The principles behind our trade decisions, where they apply, and why we report only what we can show.
Published: 1 November 2026
Vencilla Group stands for business that protects nature, upholds human dignity and treats animals with compassion. This article summarises those values, shows where they affect everyday trade decisions, and explains how we keep ambitions separate from results. The full text is on our Sustainability page and in our Sustainability Claims and Reporting Statement.
What we stand for
- Nature and water. Every fibre and every medicine begins with the natural world: soil, forests, water and the biodiversity that sustains them. We believe trade should protect these foundations, not draw them down.
- Human dignity and freedom. We believe in the equal dignity of every person: freedom of expression, human rights, equality and fair opportunity.
- Animal welfare. We believe animals deserve compassion and humane treatment, and should be free from avoidable harm wherever animal-derived materials are involved.
- Community and opportunity. We believe a business owes something to the communities it is part of, starting with access to education and freedom from hunger.
Where these values apply
Our influence lies in everyday trade decisions. For Vencilla Textile these include fibre and material choices and where materials come from, animal-derived fibres and trims, dyeing, printing and finishing (including water and chemical use), packaging, transport and fabric waste. For Vencilla Pharma they include manufacturing partners’ environmental management and permits, ingredients of animal origin, the standards partners follow for animal studies required by regulators, packaging and storage conditions, handling of damaged, expired or rejected goods, and the documentation importing markets request.
What we commit to in every working relationship
- Ask our partners about environmental management, water use and animal-derived materials, and favour partners who share information and improve over time
- Discuss lower-impact materials, processes and packaging with buyers wherever they meet the buyer’s requirements
- Treat everyone we work with fairly and with respect, and expect the same of our partners
- Tell buyers clearly what we can confirm for their product and market, and what we cannot
Ambitions are not results
Our ambitions are to protect and expand tree cover, to conserve water (including rainwater harvesting where our premises allow it), and to support education and hunger relief in the communities we are part of. These are aims, not achievements. When an initiative begins, we will say so; results will be published only once they are measured and evidenced.
How we report
Before an initiative is described as underway, someone in the business is responsible for it and a record shows it. Outcomes are published only when they are measured, with what was measured, over what period and how. We do not use general labels such as “green” or “eco-friendly” without specific, verifiable information, and we do not claim certifications or targets unless they are documented, current and accurately scoped.
How buyers and partners can help
If your enquiry includes sustainability or environmental requirements, mention them when you get in touch: material or fibre preferences (including animal-derived materials to avoid), the certifications or documents your market requires, and packaging and shipping preferences. The relevant business will tell you what it can confirm for your product and market.
